Athletics Chilwell has a proud history in Athletics since it was formed in 1966 by a local school teacher. Little Athletics was first at Landy field in 1966 followed by the Senior Athletics in 1967. We are a strong family club led by our President of many years in Mary McDonald and have produced many Australian representatives including recent athletes such as Lee Troop- Olympic marathon, Richard Colman – Paralympic and Commonwealth wheelchair races, Jemima Moore – Paralympic wheelchair relay, Luke Bissett – Commonwealth Javelin, Kelly Cartwright – IPC World Championships- 100m & Long Jump, Tessa Consedine – World Juniors 2012 – 400m Hurdles & 4 x 400m relay, Ned Weatherly – 2014 World Youth Olympics in China. Finished 5th in Hammer with a PB of 75.59m.
