Supporting Geelong athletes for over 50 years

Athletics Chilwell Inc. has been a pillar of the Geelong athletics community since 1966.

Our club was formed by a local schoolteacher, and members first competed in the Geelong Little Athletics Centre’s competition at Landy Field in October 1966. Senior athletics got under way in August 1967.

In the early 1970s the club built a strong community presence when Chilwell entered teams in competitions including little athletics, senior athletics, netball, volleyball and little league football.

Over time the club became solely focused on athletics, and is now one of only two clubs in the Geelong area to support both little athletics and senior athletics.

This means that Athletics Chilwell can provide a smooth and continuous pathway to competition, training and development to athletes of any age, including the transition from little athletics to senior competition.

Proudly a family-based club, Athletics Chilwell is a Geelong institution.
